Molybdenum carbide has high fusing point and hardness, good thermal stability,mechanical stability, excellent corrosion resistance and other characteristics, can be used as coating material, also addition material in hard metals and grain refiner in alloys. Molybdenum carbide has similar electronic structure and catalytic properties as precious Metal, like the catalytic activity of denitride,hydrogenolysis and isomerization.
